Ferrari has turned the wick up on its California, and will be showing the results at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
The California's GDI V8 now delivers 505Nm at 5000rpm, and more torque across the entire rev range, with maximum power pushed to 365kW, courtesy of freshly-designed exhaust manifolds and new ECU mapping.
Without sacfricing structural rigidity, weight has been reduced by 30kg, making for a 0-100km/h sprint of just 3.8 seconds.
The car's already impressive handling benefits from a new steering box with smaller steering wheel angles and a ten per cent quicker ratio, and for those demanding even higher performance than the 'stock' version, there's an optional Handling Speciale package that includes Magnetorheological dampers controlled by an even faster ECU running proprietary Ferrari software.
Production of the new California has already kicked off in Maranello, and first deliveries will, not surprisingly, to European customers. California dreaming Kiwis will be looking towards the end of the year before orders will be filled.
