A female kiwi has been found after being lost in the bush for almost three years.
Pistachio, the brown kiwi, went missing years ago after her transmitter broke off her leg and the Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust have been trying to find her since.
She was finally found, after many attempts, a little over a week ago with the help of conservation dogs.
When she was born three-and-a-half years ago she was the first kiwi to be born at Otanewainuku in 30 years. She now weighs 2.2kg.
She will be released back into the wild, at Otanewainuku, with a new tracker later this month.
