A Masterton woman who robbed a school with four others was remorseful for her actions, Masterton District Court heard last week.
April Lorna Marie Jackson, 20, was convicted of burglary, ordered to pay reparation of $500, and was sentenced to six months' supervision and 150 hours' community work for a robbery at Martinborough School on May 19.
Police prosecutor Nick Newbery said Jackson entered an office at the school in the early hours of Sunday morning, after an associate forced open a window.
A Toshiba laptop, two Xbox 360 game consoles, a video camera, four bottles of wine and medication used for students were among items taken.
Mr Newbery said the items were passed out the window to the other two associates, who placed the property in a black sports bag before the group left the premises.
