Mia the stray cat was rescued from the streets of West Auckland by an SPCA inspector in early November.
The 2-year-old quickly adjusted to domestic life and has become an affectionate and outgoing feline.
Attendant Erin Spencer says Mia is very independent. "She's a cat that doesn't take any crap. She's definitely got her own character."
Mia would be best suited to a home with older children who can handle her feisty nature.
To adopt Mia, or any other SPCA animal, contact the village on (09) 256-7300. Mia's ID is 154675.
