Police have arrested an 18-year-old motorbike rider after an early-morning chase in Featherston.
An officer in the dog unit pursued the Harley motorbike rider through Featherston at about 3am on Sunday morning, after he failed to pull over for a routine traffic stop, police said.
The rider tried to evade police by driving through an area not designed for cars, but the officer managed to get his car through and arrested the man on Woodward St.
The man was charged with failing to stop, driving while forbidden and reckless driving.
