Featherston Golf Club
The sixth round of interclub was played on Saturday, April 16.
Seventh division played at home at the Featherston Golf Club against Boulcott's Farm and came away with a 10 to 4 win.
The 11th division also played at home against Masterton but were not as lucky, losing 12 to 3 in some hard matches.
Sunday, the women played Tilson Salver at home against Mahunga and were rewarded with a 6 to 0 win. Sue Fox played her first game in this competition and was very happy with her result.
The men played Marquis Shield at Carterton against Eketahuna and also had a win.
Last Sunday the club held its usual Easter Stableford event. The men's event was held over three divisions and the women had one division. In the men's division one, up to handicap of 13, in first place was Lee O'Donovan with 38 points, second place on countback Brent Leader 36, third Jeff Saunders 36 on countback and fourth place Allen Bennett 36 also on countback.
Men's second division, 14 to 19 handicap, first place was Charlie Fairbrother 38 points on countback, second Steven Croft 38 on countback and third also on countback Glenn Harper 38, fourth place Ray Weighell 37.
Men's division three handicap 20 to 25, first place Tommi Lloyd 44 points, second Patrick Melaugh 40, third Terry "old buzzard "Smith 37 and fourth place Brian Rudman 35.
Women's division winners first place went to Sue Fox on 37 points, second Sally Fairbrother 36, third Sharon Harper 34 on countback and fourth place Noaroa Rota 34.
A special note: The young Owen Lloyd played at Mahunga over the weekend and scored a hole-in-one on the 10th hole - well done.
Dates to remember
Tomorrow the women play Riverside Cup at Featherston against Martinborough and on Sunday they play Tilson Salver away against Carterton at Mahunga.
Saturday the men's interclub will be playing round seven, seventh division travel away against Mornington and 11th division play away to Wainuiomata.
Sunday men's Marquis Shield will play at Featherston and the home side will be against Carterton. Special event on Thursday, May 12: Featherston will be holding Mixed Canadian Foursomes.
