Featherston firefighters took up hammers and nails to secure a roof that was lifting in high winds on Tuesday night.
A fire communications spokesman said a fire crew was called to a Fox St home shortly before 9pm on Tuesday after reports about winds lifting the roof of the house. He said firefighters took about 30 minutes to secure the roof.
