Featherston Bowling Club will celebrate their centennial with a re-union of old and existing members on October 7, 8 and 9.
It is intended to open the activities with a get-together at the club's headquarters on October 7, starting at 5pm.
The men's DB triples tourney and the centennial dinner have been programmed for October 8 with the triples tournament ending the following day.
Officers elected at the recent annual meeting of the Featherston club were: Patron, Bruce Craig; patroness, Gwen Hart; president, Darkie Barrow; vice-president, Rex Henderson; secretary, Ian Symons; treasurer, Dale Batty; greenkeeper, Harry Singleton; centre delegates, Daphne Traynor and Alan Monk.
On the representative front players involved in the women's team for players who have been playing for five years or less, those in the women's development squad and senior trial groups are reminded that a meeting with selectors is being held at the Masterton Park Bowling Club on Saturday, August 13, starting at 10am.
Selections will be made from these groups for teams to play at Stokes Valley on August 20 under the new format of singles, two bowl pairs and triples.
Men's selector Dennis Richards has released the list of players to attend a practise session and trial match at the Park Bowling Club on August 13.
It will be an all day session and the players are:

For the more mature bowlers the midweek triples fixture list has been made available and the programme is as follows (all games starting at 1.30pm): Masterton Park on September 21, Greytown on October 5, Lansdowne on October 19, South End on November 2, Masterton on November 16, Carterton on November 30, Masterton Park on December 14, Greytown on January 11, Lansdowne on January 25, South End on February 8, Masterton on February 22, Carterton on March 8, Masterton Park on March 22.
