The search for a missing intellectually disabled woman enters its third day today as fears grow for her welfare.
Police said today there had been no reported sightings of Frances Manufui, in her 40s, who was last seen in Tirimoana Rd in the west Auckland suburb of Te Atatu on Saturday morning.
They said that Ms Manufui, a Pacific Islander, had a mental age of 10 and when she went walking she preferred to walk through parks and alleyways and avoid main roads.
She was also known to be friendly and would happily talk with strangers but disliked the dark.
Police described her as 165cm tall, of solid build. She was wearing a red button-up shirt and jeans.
She might also been carrying a suitcase, a knapsack and a handbag.
