The safety of a missing 18-year-old woman with the intellectual age of a 7-year-old is causing serious concern to Auckland police.
Shoshone Anne-Marie Love moved to Auckland from Christchurch with her caregiver last Thursday.
However, in the early hours of Friday, sheleft the Avondale house that she was staying in. She was barefoot at the time.
Police said yesterday that Ms Love did not know her way around Auckland, had no personal possessions with her, had no money and had no means of contacting family or friends.
She was described as Maori, 1.5m tall, of solid build and having brown medium-length hair with a blond fringe.
She was in apparent good physical health.
When last seen, she was wearing grey checked pants, a white singlet and a grey zipped hoodie with a red pattern on the back and a front panel.
People with information on her whereabouts are asked to contact the Avondale police.
