Police fears for the welfare of a missing seven-year-old boy are growing after inquiries with relatives failed to turn up any clues.
Winton Lia went missing from near his home in Clover Park, Manukau City in south Auckland yesterday.
He was last seen playing in Leila Place at about 8pm.
Winton, a Samoan of thin build with short, black hair, was wearing a floral shirt and shorts. He had no shoes.
Police said they had contacted family members and friends but had not found the missing child.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Edwards said police were asking for public help with sightings.
People with information should call Otahuhu police.
