Police are concerned for the well-being of a Waikanae man who failed to return from a bush walk yesterday.
Police believe 75-year-old Trevor Mann intended to walk in the Hemi Matenga Memorial Park, exiting onto Huia Street, Waikanae. However, he did not returned as expected.
Mr Mann is described as a Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of medium build with grey hair and a moustache. Police said he was likely to be wearing shorts, a t-shirt and jacket, tramping boots and a cap.
Police asked all residents in the Waikanae area - particularly between Belvedere Avenue and the Memorial Park - to check their properties in case Mr Mann had fallen.
