Police have concerns for a Korean student who disappeared from his family's North Shore home early this week.
The disappearance of Young Wook Ma, who is also known as Jack Ma, was out of character, according to his family and friends.
Mr Ma, 23, was last seen by his mother at their Glenfield home on Monday morning.
He has disappeared without any money, credit cards or clothing.
His cellphone had been ringing but was not answered before the battery went flat yesterday, police said.
Senior Constable Paul Herman said Mr Ma had recently completed university exams and was on holiday.
He has a weekend job at a local supermarket.
Police were seeking his cellphone records and access to bank accounts, Mr Herman said.
Trade Me was also supplying information to police as Mr Ma had recently purchased a pair of swimming togs on the auction site.
Mr Ma's parents reported him missing on Wednesday.
He was an "average young fellow" who was not known to have any problems, Mr Herman said.
