Police are concerned for the wellbeing of a British tourist who failed to pick up a food package three days ago while tramping in the Nelson Lakes area.
Andy Wyatt, believed to be about 24-years-old, was last seen at Blue Lake in the Nelson Lakes National Park last Friday.
Police said he had planned to tramp to Boyle settlement in the Lewis Pass, where he was due to uplift a food package on Monday.
Another tramper spoke to him at the Blue Lake Hutt, but Mr Wyatt never arrived at Boyle settlement, police said.
Senior Constable Phil Simmonds said Mr Wyatt may have left the area without contacting the Boyle Education Centre, where the food parcel was delivered.
