Eloise Jerard awoke to find an intruder in her bedroom in the second burglary at her Sandringham Rd flat since April.
The 25-year-old is packing up and leaving after the latest burglary, shortly before 10am on Wednesday, which has made her fearful of being at home.
Her flatmate had just left and Ms Jerard believes the burglars must have been watching the house and thought it was empty.
"This guy just burst into my bedroom. I yelled at him and he went 's***' and ran out." The man had time to take her laptop - containing all her graphic design work - and her flatmate's laptop and camera.
"They have no idea what they do to people. I lost my job for six months [last time] because I lost all my equipment, all my back-up. I had to work my way up to trying to pay off another computer.
"It ruins your life. I can't wait to be out of here and back in an apartment where at least you feel a little bit more secure."
