Fawcett family cut up big

Three generations of the Fawcett family from Masterton were among the winners at the Poverty Bay woodchopping and sawing championships in Gisborne over the weekend.
Eddie Fawcett won the 11-inch open standing chop and was second in the veterans' event, his son Grant won the single saw open competition and combined with 15-year-old Quinten - son of Grant and grandson of Eddie - to win the double saw open title.
