KEY POINTS:
The father of a one-year-old child who fell out of the back of a moving car in Napier after opening the back door is likely to face charges.
The incident happened near Pak'N Save in Napier around 3.30pm yesterday, the Stuff website reported.
The young girl was rushed to the Napier Health Centre on Wellesley Rd. She suffered cuts and bruises.
The baby was on a mattress on the back seats, which were fully reclined.
Napier police said they intended to lay charges against the father.
