A father and his daughter injured while tramping in the Tararua Range on Saturday remain in the bush this evening.
They were tramping as part of a group when the 50-year-old man injured his knee and his teenage daughter hurt her toe.
The pair and their group made it to Te Matawai Hut, one days' walk east of Levin.
Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was unable to reach the trampers yesterday because of weather conditions, but the rest of the group were able to walk out of the bush today.
An attempt would be made to fly to the hut tomorrow and bring the remaining two out.
