KEY POINTS:
The father of a seven-year-old Napier girl critically injured after accidentally being shot in the head with a slug gun was today remanded on bail until July 27.
The 30-year-old man, who has interim name suppression, has been charged in Napier District Court with discharging an air rifle causing injury, after an incident at their family home on May 12.
His daughter was admitted to Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland in a critical condition but is improving. It is understood the pellet went through the girl's head.
