A father and son are still missing two days after failing to return from a tramp in Te Urewera National Park.
A search and rescue operation is under way and the teams stayed in the bush overnight in huts before resuming the search at 5.30am this morning.
The middle-aged father
and his teenage son were expected back at 5pm on Sunday.
The pair was reported missing about 10.30am on Monday.
Police said the father was an experienced tramper and the two were well-equipped.
