KEY POINTS:
An Auckland man accused over the death of his two children in a boating incident has been remanded to reappear in court on Thursday week.
An arrest warrant was issued yesterday for Lindsay Rowles, 54, when he failed to appear in the North Shore District Court charged with operating a vessel in a manner causing danger or risk. The warrant was withdrawn at midday when Rowles arrived at court.
The charges were laid under the Maritime Transport Act after his children Erina, 8, and Travis, 5, drowned when the family's boat sank in the Hauraki Gulf on Anzac Day last year.
