A man has died after a two-car crash in West Auckland.
Police said the driver of one of the cars died after the collision at the intersection of Rata and Rimu streets in New Lynn.
It was possible the man had suffered a heart attack before the crash, police said.
The police serious crash unit was investigating and was on-site to carry out a scene examination.
Rata St will be closed and the public is advised to avoid the area.
