A motorcycle passenger has died in a crash near the Huntly power station this evening.
Police said the pillion passenger died at the scene of the crash on Te Ohaki Rd about 6.30pm. The motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries.
Police said the road was closed while the serious crash unit investigated. Diversions on Te Ohaki Rd were in place at Glen Murray Rd and Hetherington Rd.
