A 55-year-old man died in a house fire south of Auckland last night.
The man's body was discovered after firemen were called to the blazing property in Garvie Rd, Hunua, 15km east of Papakura, about 11.05pm.
The fire was quickly brought under control and a fire safety officer was due this morning to carry out a scene examination.
It was not known if the fire was suspicious.
