KEY POINTS:
A person died in hospital after a crash in Wanganui yesterday afternoon. Another person was still being treated for serious injuries last night.
The crash happened just before 4.30pm on the corner of Stewart St and Somme Parade. Police described it as "car versus car versus pole".
Police said one of the injured people was in a critical condition, the other seriously injured, when they were taken to Wanganui Base Hospital.
By 8pm, police said the accident had become fatal.
