KEY POINTS:
One person was killed and another seriously injured when a 4WD vehicle plunged over a bridge on State Highway 29, 20km south of Matamata.
The crash was one of several yesterday in which victims had to be cut from vehicles amid a spate of collisions in stormy weather.
The fatal crash occurred between Totman Rd and Pond Rd at 4.50pm.
A witness said the 4WD veered off the bridge, flipped and landed upside down in a drain. Details on the deceased were not available last night.
