KEY POINTS:
Auckland fashion designer Jason Crawford has been found guilty of operating a large scale cannabis growing operation.
Crawford, 35, designer behind the successful knitwear label Insidious Fix, was found guilty in Auckland District Court this afternoon on two charges of cultivating cannabis, one of selling cannabis and nine of receiving stolen property.
A jury returned its verdicts at the end of a two week trial.
The charges were laid after police raided an Onehunga warehouse in November 2005, where they found $1 million worth of cannabis plants ranging in size from seedlings to fully grown trees.
Crawford was remanded in custody to be sentenced at Auckland District Court on February 1 next year.
