Farmers wanting to help flood-affected colleagues can take part in a new scheme to "adopt a district", a Taranaki farmer says.
Steve Barr has gathered a team of farmers to take their labour, machinery and spare fencing materials to farms in other districts.
Floods rural recovery centre head Shelley Dew-Hopkins said flood-hit farmers were desperate for fencing materials, water reticulation equipment and bridging material. "Donations of fencing gear, troughs, water pipes or material to re-build bridges would be much appreciated," she said.
