An Apiti farmer suffered leg injuries after his silage feed trailer fell on top of him, trapping him briefly, this morning.
The accident happened at 11.30am today about 45km north east of Feilding.
The 46-year-old was freed by neighbours and treated at the scene by St Johns ambulance staff before being flown by rescue helicopter to Palmerston North Hospital, Square Trust Rescue Helicopter staff said.
Details of how the accident happened are unknown.
