A farmer was airlifted to hospital last night following a motorbike accident at a rural property in Te Aroha.
A spokeswoman from the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter said crew attended the scene at a farm in Te Aroha about 5.30pm yesterday.
She said a 52-year-old local farmer was involved in a motorbike accident while checking stock on his farm.
The accident happened around 4.15pm, and the man then used his cellphone to raise the alarm, and call for help, she said.
The man suffered from neck and shoulder injuries, and was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being flown by rescue helicopter to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
