A farm worker has died after a quad bike accident north west of Auckland this evening.
The vehicle overturned on a farm at Ruawai, which is on the northern reach of the Kaipara Harbour.
The police said emergency services were called to the farm in Armstrong Rd, where the accident happened, at about 5.30pm but were unable to revive the 42-year-old man, who died at the scene.
They said it is believed the quad bike overturned and rolled into a pond.
The police and WorkSafe - the government's occupational safety and health service - are investigating.
