A young Wairarapa farm worker was airlifted to Wellington Hospital with suspected back injuries after falling from a quad bike.
Life Flight crewman Logan Taylor said the Westpac Rescue Helicopter had been called to a farm north of Masterton about 1pm on Tuesday to help a female in her late teens, who had fallen from a quad bike, which had tipped over while she was riding it uphill.
He said police and a road ambulance team were already at the site, about 10 minutes from the road, and the woman was flown with moderate injuries to the emergency department at Wellington Hospital.
