KEY POINTS:
A depositions hearing is due to begin in Napier District Court today for the man accused of murdering Hawkes Bay farmer Jack Nicholas.
Murray Kenneth Foreman, 50, who was arrested in April last year, has pleaded not guilty. Mr Nicholas was shot outside his farmhouse at Makahu, west of Napier, about dawn on August 27, 2004.
The hearing is set down for two weeks.
