Fans line up in Aotea Square to meet the All Blacks

All Black fans flocked to Aotea Square today to get selfies and autographs with a few of the players.

Israel Dagg, Codie Taylor and Ofa Tu'ungafasi were welcomed by a packed crowd this afternoon as they gave out their autographs to adoring fans waiting patiently on a cold wintry Auckland day.

A young boy rugged up in a beanie and jacket even managed to get a selfie with All Black fullback Israel Dagg.

Dagg said he hadn't watched the New Zealand Sevens team's loss to Fiji in the quarter-finals today, but the result was "pretty sad".

"Pretty gutted for the boys. They put a lot of effort to go to Rio ... they'll be disappointed ... but that's sport. You've got to move on and deal with it.

"It's going to be tough."

Dagg said he sent a message to injured Sevens and All Black player Sonny Bill Williams yesterday.

"I sent him a message saying I was really gutted for him.

"He's positive. He's staying positive.

"It's a big loss for the Sevens and the All Blacks."

The All Blacks were at Aotea Square this morning as a part of the Big Ticket competition where fans can write supportive messages on a sign provided by ASB Bank and upload a photo on social media.

Winners will take home a double pass to an All Blacks Bledisloe Cup game held in Auckland.
