Thousands of people, young and old, were drawn to an exhibition in Auckland that featured creations made from Lego building bricks.
From medieval castles and 2m skyscrapers to complex looping tracks and scenes from Star Wars - the displays mesmerised crowds at the Auckland Brick Show at the ASB Stadium in Kohimarama.
Starting out as an exhibition in a school gymnasium eight years ago, the event this year attracted an estimated 20,000 over Labour Weekend. Featured displays included a 4m spaceship that weighed more than 100kg and a 16m long train set.
