"There are a lot of big paddocks out there.
"I think he is happily cruising the paddocks out there," Mr Turley said.
The children, Sophia, 9, Quinn, 7, Alexi, 5, and Reid Haglund-Turley, 4, were fretting for the cat, he said.
"They are really finding it hard. The kids have been crying in their beds at night.
"Alexi has been writing a journal and has written in it she wants Echo home," he said.
"They really want him back. We'll keep looking for him."
Mr Turley said that they would pay $250 to the person who found or returned Echo.
"We'll never give up. We just want him home."
If you have seen Echo or find him, call Mr Turley or his wife, Sarah, on (06) 377 3948 or (mobile) 021 2134401.
