KEY POINTS:
The editors of the Dominion Post and Fairfax New Zealand Limited have today taken the stand to defend contempt proceedings in the High Court in Wellington.
The proceedings relate to articles published on November 14 last year, detailing conversations recorded by police prior to high profile raids.
Fairfax Group Executive Editor Paul Thompson has told the court in publishing the stories, he believed the publications were not breaching any suppression orders.
When asked by the Solicitor General whether he would make the same decision again knowing the information made available to him now, he replied that is an impossible question to answer.
