Champion shearer David Fagan gave his legion of fans one last stunning display with a come-from-behind victory in the national open championship in Te Kuiti on Saturday night.
Fagan, who described his season as his worst in many years, claimed his 16th national championship since 1986 by 0.8 of a point from Golden Shears champ Dion King, with Dean Ball of Te Kuiti third.
