Field event specialist Courtney Fafeita provided the highlight of a series of outstanding Wairarapa performances at the Wellington senior track and field championships held at Newtown Park on Saturday.
Competing in the women's 16yrs grade Fafeita demonstrated her versatility by winning the shot put, discus, javelin and hammer throw.
The 9.68m which won Fafeita the shot put was a personal best effort as was her javelin throw of 22.10m. She also recorded impressive displays in the discus (37.44m) and hammer throw (25.58m).
Michael Wilson recorded the fastest times in both the 100m and 200m for the men's 19yrs and senior grades.
