Ezra Mae Sabayton Medalle, 24, a nurse from the Philippines, died when the CTV building collapsed.
Ezra arrived in New Zealand on the Sunday before the earthquake with her boyfriend, Jessie Redoble - also a nurse and also killed in the earthquake.
The pair had just taken up English classes at the King's Education language school.
Ezra's cousin, Gil Sabayton Nazareno, said the last time anyone had heard from any of the nurses in the group was the day the earthquake struck - via a telephone voice message asking for help.
