Extreme care advised after diesel spill near Foxton

Motorists are being warned to drive carefully on State Highway One near Foxton after a large oil spill this morning.

The 3 kilometre spill is in the northbound lanes, just south of the Whirikino Bridge, police said.

They said Higgins Road Contractors were on the way to deal with the spill but that extreme care was required by drivers.
