The Government is giving Neighbourhood Watch's national body a $100,000 boost.
Justice Minister Mark Burton, speaking at the opening of the Australasian Neighbourhood Support and Neighbourhood Watch Advisory Board annual meeting in Wellington, said the extra money, being provided through the Ministry of Justice, would help Neighbourhood Support New Zealand with improving co-ordination of groups nationally.
Total Government funding for this developmental work was now $300,000 over the three financial years 2006/07 to 2008/09.
