With arching windows and high ceilings, stepping into the Villa Belvedere is like stepping into a Lake Como house in Italy, except here the previous owners have managed to incorporate international design elements in the execution of the building.
Built in 1999 by Mike Wrightson this extravagant property has many finely crafted fittings: roof tiles, granite benches and tables, stone fireplaces, mahogany shutters from Italy, natural stone that was cut on the Gold Coast by an Australian-Italian family and bricks from Perth.
The plumbing was imported from the United Kingdom.
The three-level main house looks across a central courtyard (complete with a fountain) to a gatehouse.
