The Department of Labour is continuing its investigations into the death of a 21-year-old man in an explosion on the West Coast yesterday.
Kieran Hudson was extending guard rails on a bitumen tank at the Fulton Hogan yard near Greymouth when the tank blew up.
The huge explosion scattered debris over a wide area, shattering windows and damaging some buildings.
Several other people were nearby and at least one person suffered minor injuries.
