A boiler explosion in a shed near Whangarei has set a large shed on fire.
Fire crews are working to contain the fire in a 100sq m shed in Maunu, after an explosion about 8.15 this evening.
Northern fire communications spokesman Jaron Phillips said no one was believed to have been injured in the blast.
A neighbouring home was at risk and fire crews were working to contain the blaze.
"We're bringing in more crews and extra tankers," he said.
