KEY POINTS:
This year's Verge show had a twist - the front row was given special gadgets and had to decide who would win a $10,000 business development grant from Verge, who act as mentors for the five lables involved.
Michelle Wilson, the designer behind the Michelle Yvette label, won, with her wearable and feminine collection.
She began the show with a model in a sari placing candles on the runway and another wearing a burka - not exactly original but sure to get her some column inches.
Next up was Sable and Mink, the label from Theresa Brady.
Her range is described as streetwear, but these street pieces were given a feminine edge with berets and fingerless gloves.
Kellie Chapman's range, under the label Deuchar, was called Draw the Line, and was inspired by the Parisian street markets.
Wellington label Emma, designed by Emma Wallace, a former design assistant of Zana Feuchs, put out a pretty range inspired by Hansel and Gretel - think velvet shorts, cute dresses and sweet lace detail.
Ana Steele closed the show with her collection called How to Become a Muse - The Story of Lil, which featured printed dresses, tops and leggings, and several streetwear inspired pieces.
