KEY POINTS:
I'll be honest, I couldn't see much of the clothes in this show from Stitch Ministry - I was blinded by the flash of light bulbs from the paparazzi who were snapping the front row in front of me, which included most of Auckland's social page favourites: Brooke Howard-Smith. Amber Peebles. Petra Bagust. Jade Collins. Lana Coc-Kroft. It was as if the social pages had come to life.
But back to what I'm here to talk about: the show and the clothes. The show was styled by Ryan Lobo, a lovely Australian stylist who was flown over especially.
I loved his tribal leanings - he sent models out in feathered head pieces reminiscent of Kate Moss' debut cover, rosary beads and red dip dyed finger tips. Although I couldn't help but think that the makeup on some of the models - lines of red across the eye - was a little too close to the makeup that Australian designer Marnie Skillings put on her models for her show at Australian Fashion Week earlier this year.
The range itself featured plenty of the labels signature knits, as well as tassel detailing, floor length gowns and feather detailing.
My favourites were the plaid pieces, which Lobo layered over knit pieces for a grunge look.
It remains to be seen if that will go down well with the social page set.
