KEY POINTS:
Well what the f*ck were you expecting?"
Indeed, what were we expecting from Lucie Boshier? The flamboyant designer, who has caused a stir in the past with her controversial promotional posters, showed for the first time at ANZFW to a packed room complete with girls in martini glasses, gyrating models, a drag queen, chocolate money and a laugh and clap track.
Fashion Week is about fashion shows, and Boshier certainly put on a show that won over the crowd. But - what about the clothes?
Her winter collection was based on Liza Minnelli's character in the film Cabaret, which meant oversized sequins on dresses and tops, 1970s inspired paisley prints and velvet boleros with tassels.
At times I felt like it was more a lingerie show than a fashion show. But hey - at least the models looked like they were having a good time for once.
