KEY POINTS:
It seemed fitting that the actresses who play Pascalle and Loretta West in bogan soap Outrageous Fortune were sitting in the first two rows at the Lonely Hearts show.
The label have moved on from their tough punk from the last few seasons, and are now looking to bogans and all the things associated with them - drag racing, beer, rock music and grunge.
The winter range is called Electric Doom, and finds a muse in Courtney Love, the ultimate grunge goddess.
So what does that translate into? Lots of leather, lace leggings, zip detail, paper bag waisted skirts, oversized urchin dresses, lots of layers and raw edges.
Bogan chic and grunge has saturated the ANZFW catwalks this year, but Lonely Hearts' take is my favourite.
I thought that I would scream if I saw anymore plaid on the runway, but I really loved Lonely Hearts' fresh dip dye take on the print.
I also loved the chunky knit jumpers and cardigans (but hated the knit bikini tops, what's the point?), and the knit sweaters that I could imagine Love rocking under a baby doll back in the 90s.
Models sulked down the runway wearing muddy boots, leaving a trail of dirt - not an overly original concept (Little Brother had models leaving blood on the runway a few years back), but it worked nonetheless.
Although I do find it hilarious that all of this bogan inspired clothing is being paraded down the runway at a fashion week, and similar looks will probably be worn by genuine bogans at Waikaraka Park come racing season.
