Auckland motorists returning home after the long weekend can expect a slow drive. Anzac Day traffic started building from lunchtime and traffic is now congested on State Highway 1 in both directions, according to NZTA live traffic updates.
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes and, if possible, avoid SH1 Drury to Takanini northbound, and Warkworth southbound because of the heavy congestion.
